Nathan Goumaz

Born in 1998, Nathan Goumaz quickly entered the world of music as a percussionist in several musical ensembles. It was in the world of percussion that he evolved before turning to composition and musicology. In 2024, he graduated from the University of Fribourg with a Master of Arts in History of Music and Musical Theater. In 2025, he completed his training as a composer with Benedikt Hayoz, Etienne Crausaz and Damien Cesbron at the Conservatoire de Fribourg, graduating with honors and presenting the string quintet Minérophonia. That same year, his piece A Shooting Star Night, for large wind band, was included in the program of the Harmonie Nationale de Jeune (Switzerland), conducted by Laurent Zuffrey.
